True health comes from a balanced lifestyle of adequate sleep, delicious whole foods, regular exercise, and emotional well-being. These are simple ways in which each of us can live in a state of vitality.
Traditional Chinese Medicine originated over 2,000 years ago, in a time when people had no choice other than to eat fresh and local foods with the seasons; rise with the sun, and spend long hours engaged in activity growing or hunting food. However, in these modern times with desk jobs, supermarkets, cars, and television, it is all too easy to eat manufactured foods on the run, spend all day hunched over a computer, and never truly relax.
I am first and foremost dedicated to providing my patients and the community with resources for learning about proper eating and nutrition; stress management; and body movement. For those times when the state of balance becomes off kilter, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine are used to guide one back into a state of wholeness.
